Is there a limit on video length?

No fixed limit, within reason. Please see our Upload Page for recommendations.

 

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. However, you must agree to our Terms and Conditions before uploading content.

 

Can I remove content after uploading?

Yes. Content can be withdrawn at any time, free of charge. Please allow a few days for processing.

Why do I need to register?

Registration helps us verify ownership of uploaded content and contact contributors when required.

Is subscribing to the newsletter the same as registering?

No. The newsletter only requires an email address, while registration requires additional information.

Are there any charges?

Uploading, vetting, and hosting personal videos is free. Charges only apply if you choose optional services such as filming, editing, drone footage, or green-screen production.

Is LN9Lens just another Facebook page?

No. LN9Lens is an independent video hub dedicated to the LN9 community and owned locally.

How do I submit a video?

Visit the Get Started page and complete the Upload Form for review and approval.

What is the maximum upload size?

15GB per video.

 

Is LN9Lens free to watch?

Yes. All content can be viewed free of charge without registration.

 

Is it free to upload a video?

Yes. Uploading and content vetting are free, although registration is required.

 

Is hosting free?

Yes, for non-business content.

 

Can businesses upload videos?

Yes. Uploading is free, with the first three months of hosting included at no charge.

 

Does LN9Lens contain adverts?

No adverts appear within hosted videos. Future advertising, if introduced, will be separate from video content.

 

What data does LN9Lens collect?

Only the information needed to verify ownership, manage uploads, and communicate with contributors.

 

Who owns the copyright?

Creators retain ownership of their work. Published content is displayed under a joint authorship agreement with LN9Lens.

 

Can I withdraw my content later?

Yes. Contact LN9Lens and, once verified, your content will be removed free of charge.

 

What is a Volunteer Ambassador?

Volunteer Ambassadors help identify local stories, events, and community interests across the LN9 area. The role is informal and voluntary.

 

Who funds LN9Lens?

LN9Lens is privately funded and currently budgeted to operate until February 2027.

 

Will there be charges after February 2027?

Uploading and vetting will remain free. Non-business hosting is expected to remain free, while business hosting may become chargeable after an initial free period.
